"To see what is inside, you have to crack through to the core. What would you find?" Adyashanti, Emptiness Dancing
Inside each one of us is complete freedom, joy, a unique sense of being that transcends all problems, deep peace. That peace, that knowing, is your birthright. It is indeed what is most essential to your well-being. However, leaping into that place of freedom can be frustrating--it may feel as if you are banging your head against a door.
As an educational psychologist and peace builder, I help clients open that door by strengthening their experience of inner peace, present moment awareness and emotional well-being. Often we are ready to change, we know we don’t like the lives we are leading, or we realize particular habits are getting in the way of our transformation, but we just can’t seem to change on our own. My proven techniques have helped hundreds of clients let go of that which no longer serves them and find a sense of awakeness, clarity and contentment (testimonials).
In practical terms, I have successfully helped thousands of clients heal from myriad issues, including career transition/financial concerns, grief and loss, relationship issues, sexual/intimacy concerns, self-esteem, addictions, spiritual issues, depression and anxiety. I am an expert at working with post traumatic stress disorder caused from disturbing events such as past abuse, accidents and military experiences. I also specialize in working with relationships and communication issues of all kinds--from parents who are tearing their hair out over kids acting out, to couples who can't get along, to adult children trying to manage their aging parents' emotional demands.
In most cases clients are able to achieve full closure and find a peace they never previously believed possible. The privilege of witnessing such transformations is both humbling and awe-inspiring.
Many clients, as we complete therapy, tell me with tears and amazement in their eyes, that they are like a different person, someone who they actually like to be around. That is priceless, for if we can't love ourselves, how can we accept the love of others? Changing takes tremendous courage and persistence–nobody else can do it for us, but I will do anything I can to support that process for my clients. Miracles can and do happen; I witness them every day.
